Dr. Shota Gelovani is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim's Institute for Media and Communication Studies, affiliated with the School of Humanities. His work focuses on social media’s role in bridging social cleavages and analyzing citizen-produced political texts. Prior to this, he was a doctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich's Chair of Digital Governance and contributed to the Horizon 2020 OPTED project. He holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Mannheim, supported by a DAAD scholarship.
