Dr. Shobhit Aggarwal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Citadel's School of Engineering. He joined the faculty in August 2024. His academic journey includes a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kurukshetra University (2014), followed by an M.S. (2018) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2023) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

His research focuses on Wireless Communications, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, and AI. He has contributed to IEEE conferences and holds the NSF I-Corp award.
Previously, he worked as an Embedded Firmware Engineer in IoT engineering and a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at a Fortune 500 company. He is also Vice Chair of the IEEE Young Professionals of Charlotte affinity group, emphasizing mentorship and professional development.
