Shirley Lin is an Associate Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School. Her research focuses on Critical Race Theory, Employment Law, Disability Law, and Contracts. She holds a J.D. from CUNY School of Law and a B.A. in Spanish and Women's Studies from Dartmouth College (cum laude). Professor Lin serves as Chair-Elect of the AALS Section on Labor Relations and Employment Law, and contributes to the American Bar Association. Her scholarship bridges legal theory with social justice, addressing race, disability, and gender in political-economic contexts.

Publications span major law reviews and edited volumes, including Emory Law Journal and New York University Law Review. Her work frequently addresses Title VII, disability accommodations, and LGBTQ+ rights.
Professionally, she balances academia with advocacy: previously a senior attorney at Outten & Golden LLP, and Skadden Fellow at the Asian American Legal Defense & Education Fund. She also led community initiatives for immigrant rights post-9/11.
