Shinichiro Fukuda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, affiliated with the College of Arts, Languages & Letters. His research focuses on theoretical and experimental syntax, lexical semantics, syntax-semantics interface phenomena, and their acquisition across speaker populations, with particular attention to East Asian languages. He serves as a series editor for Endangered and Lesser-Studied Languages and Dialects and an associate editor for Language and Linguistics. Additionally, he coordinates the EATS Lab, a virtual research initiative at UHM exploring syntactic theory and methodology through experimental approaches.
