Shingirai L. Taodzera is an Assistant Professor in the Department of African American and African Studies at the University of California, Davis. His research focuses on the political economy of development in post-colonial sub-Saharan Africa, particularly natural resource governance in East and Southern Africa. He holds a Ph.D. in International Development from the University of Ottawa and has held fellowships at Wellesley College and the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program. His work examines themes of indigeneity, resource ownership, and post-colonial state formation.
