Prof. Shih Chih-Yu is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science at National Taiwan University. He holds academic ranks including Professor, University Chair Professor (2007–2010), and National Chair Professor (2001–2004). He has been a visiting scholar at institutions such as Tuebingen University (2009) and the University of Durham (2004). His research focuses on cultural studies, China studies, international relations, and ethnic identity, with notable works on sovereignty, autonomy, and poverty in East Asia.
