Sherzod Muminov is an Associate Professor in Japanese History at the University of East Anglia's School of History and Art History. His multilingual research spans Japanese-Soviet relations and forced labor systems.
His research examines the Siberian Internment of Japanese POWs, Cold War geopolitics in Asia, and post-imperial migrations. Recent publications analyze transnational histories of captivity and empire dissolution.
Awards include the John Whitney Hall Prize for his monograph on the Siberian Internment and the Murayama Tsuneo Memorial Award.
