Sherri L. Wallace

Dr. Sherri L. Wallace is a full Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Louisville and serves as the Associate Dean of Diversity, Engagement, Culture, and Climate (DECC). Her research focuses on African American Politics, College Textbook Diversity, Community Economic Development, and issues impacting Women and Faculty of Color in Academe. She is co-author of the seminal textbook American Politics and the African American Quest for Universal Freedom (8th and 9th editions).

Dr. Wallace is actively engaged in professional service, including roles with the American Political Science Association (APSA) and the National Conference of Black Political Scientists (NCOBPS). She mentors students, reviews faculty promotions, and contributes to academic program evaluations. Her work bridges scholarship with community engagement, emphasizing equity and inclusive academic practices.
