Sheri Shuck-Hall is a Professor in the Department of History at Christopher Newport University (CNU). She serves as Director of the Public History Center, contributing to historical preservation and community engagement. Her teaching focuses on American Indian History, Colonial North America, and Public History.

Her research interests include Indigenous history, colonial-era narratives, and public history initiatives, with a particular emphasis on local Virginia history and historical education. Recent publications explore topics such as Black educators in early 20th-century Virginia, African-American military contributions during the American Revolution, and the origins of the pharmaceutical industry.
She has received multiple awards, including:

- Omicron Delta Kappa Circle of Distinction Award (2024, 2017)
- Outstanding American History Teacher of the Year Award (2017)
- Outstanding Volunteer of the Year, York County, Virginia (2016)
As Director of the Public History Center, she leads projects connecting academic research with community-based historical storytelling and exhibitions.
