Sheri Labenski

Sheri Labenski is a Senior Lecturer and Senior Tutor at Goldsmiths, University of London's Department of Law. Her research focuses on feminist approaches to international law, particularly gender dimensions of armed conflict, transitional justice, and peacebuilding. She previously held postdoctoral positions at the LSE Centre for Women, Peace, and Security.

Education includes a Doctorate in Law. Her scholarship critically examines legal subjectivity through case studies of women defendants in international criminal law.

Research investigates feminist peace theories, reparations for conflict-related violence, and gender analysis of war/peace legal frameworks. Recent monographs analyze how gender assumptions shape international law and explore feminist manifestos as sources of customary law.

Dr. Labenski teaches English Legal System in a Global Context, Gender/Sexualities and Law, and advanced criminal justice. She has supervised feminist judgments projects and contributes to international legal education reform.
