Sheri A. Browning is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Barton College, where she joined the faculty in 2019. She serves as the Director of the Psychology Program and teaches courses such as Animal Behavior, Evolutionary Psychology, and Cognitive Psychology.
- Education: B.A. from University of Virginia, Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Dr. Browning's research focuses on behavioral and vocal responses of avian species like Carolina chickadees, tufted titmice, and the Northern Wheatear. Her work explores predator avoidance, reactions to novel stimuli, and vocal communication patterns in birds, including field studies conducted at Lundy Island, England.
