Sheona Brown is a Lecturer in the School of Health and Life Sciences, focusing on midwifery practice and education. Her key research interests include optimizing the 'golden hour' post-birth in obstetric units, enhancing OSCE experiences for student midwives, and evaluating midwifery caseload-holding models. She emphasizes integrating women's real-world experiences into BSc/MSc midwifery curricula.
Expertise includes clinical midwifery, project management for new practice models, and implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals related to healthcare equity.
