Dr. Shelby Filley is a tenured Professor in the Department of Animal and Rangeland Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU). She serves as an Extension Area Livestock and Forage Specialist with a 27-year career at OSU, focusing on beef cattle, sheep, goat, and forage production systems across Oregon's multi-county region (Benton, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Lane, and Linn). Her work integrates research, extension, and teaching, with over 900 educational programs reaching 19,000 stakeholders.

Dr. Filley's research emphasizes forage production to optimize livestock nutrition and reproduction, including selenium biofortification, pasture weed management, and climate-adapted grazing strategies.
