Shazzad Sikdar is an Assistant Professor of Business Management at the Davis School of Business, Colorado Mesa University, where he teaches Business Strategy. He holds a PhD and MS in Strategic Management and Business Administration from Washington State University, an MBA from Eastern Illinois University, and a BBA from the University of Dhaka.

His research centers on crisis management strategies, particularly in the context of product recalls, and their impact on firm performance. He also explores international product recalls, upper echelons theory, and entrepreneurship. His work has been presented at prominent conferences including the Academy of Management and the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference.
As a member of the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society, Dr. Sikdar contributes to the academic community by serving as a reviewer for leading peer-reviewed journals. He integrates his prior professional experience in banking and telecommunications into his teaching to enhance student learning.
He is actively involved in academic service and committed to student success, both in and out of the classroom. His industry background supports a practical approach to management education.
