Shawn Anderson serves as the Director of Experiential Learning and Assistant Professor at Regis University’s Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, Department of Nursing. With over 20 years of clinical experience in pediatric ICU, emergency care, and adult medicine, she integrates her expertise into nursing education. Her academic journey includes a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus from Regis University.
Research Interests: Ms. Anderson focuses on nursing education, particularly the affective domain of learning and its impact on compassionate patient care. She emphasizes magis—the pursuit of excellence—to inspire students in clinical, simulation, and didactic settings. Her work aligns with Regis’ values of 'How ought we live?' and 'Leaders serving others.'
Teaching & Leadership: Over two decades of teaching across clinical, laboratory, and simulation environments. Advocates for lifelong learning and active engagement in nursing practice.
