Shauna Pomerantz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Child and Youth Studies at Brock University. She holds a PhD in Educational Studies from the University of British Columbia (2005) with a focus on Sociology of Education.
Her research explores the intersection of youth, technology, and social worlds, with specific interests in media studies, girlhood studies, popular culture, and feminist theories. Current projects investigate TikTok's role in youth culture and intergenerational communication.
Recent publications focus on digital media's impact on feminist discourse and youth identity formation. Her work combines qualitative methods with poststructural frameworks to analyze contemporary youth experiences.
