Dr Shauna McGill serves as a Senior Lecturer at Ulster University's School of Education on the Coleraine campus, where she directs the PGCE Primary Course with 17 years of academic experience complemented by 5 years as a practicing primary teacher.
Her educational qualifications include a PhD in Education from Ulster University, a Master of Teaching from Queens University, and a Bachelor of Education (Hons) from the University of Glasgow.
Dr McGill's research focuses on Teacher Education, Primary Mathematics, and Mobile Technology integration in classrooms. She investigates technological anxiety among pre-service teachers, post-pandemic e-learning impacts, and computer-assisted language learning methodologies, emphasizing practical applications for primary educators through mixed-methods case studies and collaborative international research.
Recent publications demonstrate consistent advancement in educational technology research, particularly examining pandemic-induced shifts in teaching practices and the psychological dimensions of technology adoption among primary educators, with growing emphasis on cross-border collaboration and practical classroom implementation.
