Shaun Huston is a Professor of Geography in the Department of Sustainability at Western Oregon University. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography from Syracuse University (1996) and specializes in research areas including American West studies, place and landscape theory, popular culture analysis, and visual/creative methodologies.

His academic work bridges geography with film studies, comics, and sociological fiction. He has actively contributed to the geohumanities through experimental films and publications exploring spatial theory, environmental justice, and cultural landscapes.

His publications and filmography demonstrate interdisciplinary engagement with environmental sustainability, social justice, and media studies.
