Shatoi King

Shatoi King is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing (SHP/SON) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). She serves as the Research Track Coordinator for the Honors Program in Undergraduate Studies and can be contacted at sthodge@utmb.edu.

• PhD in Nursing from University of Texas Medical Branch
• MSc in Nursing Education from Walden University
• BSN and ASN degrees from UTMB and Baylor University

Her research focuses on nursing education, reflective practice, and healthcare leadership development. At AACN Transform 2023, she presented on undergraduate scholar programs preparing nurse advocates and leaders.

She has received multiple accolades, including the Faculty Excellence in Education Award (2024), Gale Foundation Award (2018), and consecutive Crawford and Hattie Jackson Foundation Awards (2015-2016).
