Sharyn Robertson serves as Assistant Professor and Department Head of the Department of Cinema Arts within the School of Fine Arts and Communication at Bob Jones University. She has taught at BJU since 2008 after working as a video producer, cinematographer, and editor for corporate clients including Michelin, GE, Inside Edition, and CNN. Robertson holds an MFA in Digital Cinema from National University alongside MA and BS degrees in Cinema Production from Bob Jones University.

Robertson's professional focus centers on cinematic production with specialized expertise in sound design and visual storytelling. Her work bridges academic instruction and practical film production, evidenced by contributions to the award-winning feature film Milltown Pride where she served as casting coordinator, sound recordist, and sound designer. She extends her media communication expertise through international teaching initiatives including the ARRIBA program in Lima, Peru.
As an academic leader, Robertson chairs the Intercollegiate National Religious Broadcasters (iNRB) committee and advises sophomore Cinema students. Her professional activities include client-based video production, short film development during Los Angeles residencies, and committee service for university admissions and student engagement initiatives.
Outside academia, she actively participates in Suber Road Baptist Church ministries and community service. Robertson balances her professional commitments with family life, enjoying time with her husband, two young sons, and cat Bert.
