Sharron J. Crowder is a Clinical Professor and Assistant Dean for Health Policy Initiatives at the Indiana University School of Nursing. She holds a PhD in Nursing from Indiana University and advanced nursing degrees from Emory University and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Her work focuses on health policy, advocacy education, and leadership development for nurses in clinical and academic settings.

Crowder specializes in empowering nursing students, faculty, and practitioners through seven innovative health policy models. Her research spans asthma care coordination, maternal health, telehealth, and chronic disease management, with a particular emphasis on health equity coalitions.
Her recent publications include collaborative work on family-centered asthma management tools and policy-focused coalition-building in nursing education. These studies reflect her commitment to advancing health equity through interdisciplinary partnerships.

She actively collaborates with IU Government Relations and serves as an invited speaker for international nursing leadership initiatives.
