Sharon Wexler is a Professor and Department Chairperson at Pace University's College of Health Professions. With a PhD in Nursing from New York University (2007), an MA in Nursing Education (1985), and a BS in Nursing from Simmons College (1982), she has extensive academic and clinical expertise. Her research focuses on gerontological nursing, chronic disease self-management, dementia care, and evidence-based practice, often integrating technology like virtual avatars for psychosocial support.

She is certified as a Clinical Specialist in gerontological nursing, nursing administration, and medical surgical nursing, and maintains active professional memberships in NGNA, ANA-NY, ASA, ENRS, AGS, GSA, and NYSNA.
