Sharon Wall is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at The University of Winnipeg, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts. Her research focuses on Canadian social and cultural history, particularly examining childhood, gender, education, and urban contexts. She teaches courses on Canadian education history, Winnipeg's urban history, Canadian feminism, and the history of childhood.
Her work explores intersections between education systems, childhood experiences, and broader societal trends. Notable publications include analyses of Ontario summer camps' role in shaping modern childhood ideals and critical studies of residential school systems' impacts on Indigenous communities.
Dr. Wall contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives like the Newberry Consortium in American Indian Studies and is involved with the Centre for Rupert's Land Studies.
