Sharon T. Strocchia

Sharon T. Strocchia is a Professor of History at Emory University, specializing in Renaissance Italy's social and cultural history, gender studies, and premodern medicine. She holds degrees from Stanford University (B.A.) and the University of California, Berkeley (M.A., Ph.D.). Her research explores intersections between gender, healthcare, and commercial practices in early modern Europe.

• Author of three monographs and two edited volumes, including award-winning works like Forgotten Healers (2019) and Nuns and Nunneries in Renaissance Florence (2009).
• Recipient of prestigious awards from organizations including the American Catholic Historical Association, History of Science Society, and Renaissance Society of America.
