Dr. Sharon Nichols is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where she directs the Urban Education Institute. Her work bridges educational psychology and policy analysis, focusing on accountability systems' impact on teaching, learning, and youth development. She has authored over three dozen publications and co-authored the influential book Collateral Damage: How High-Stakes Testing Corrupts America's Schools (2007).
