Sharon Good

Sharon Good is a Lecturer in Psychology at Canterbury Christ Church University, where she joined in 2016 and was appointed to her current position in 2022. She serves as the Level 4 Year Co-ordinator and School Lead for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) within the School of Sciences, Psychology, Arts and Humanities, Computing, Engineering and Sports.

Her research centers on 'mind-mindedness'—the proclivity to use understanding of others' mental states to explain and describe behavior—with a focus on how relational qualities and dispositional traits influence this capacity in both parent and non-parent adults. Her work bridges developmental and social psychology, examining core mechanisms of interpersonal understanding in family contexts and broader adult populations.

As an educator, she teaches developmental psychology, family studies, emotion studies, and statistics across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while actively shaping institutional ED&I strategy through her leadership role. Her scholarly contributions emphasize the interplay between cognitive-emotional processes and relational dynamics in human development.
