Sharon E.J. Gerstel is a Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her work focuses on art history, religious studies, and the intersection of ritual and monumental art. She holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
