Sharique Hasan is an Associate Professor of Strategy at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and an Associate Professor of Sociology (by courtesy). His research utilizes experiments and big data to study entrepreneurship, innovation, and their social implications. Prior to Duke, he was faculty at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

His research focuses on entrepreneurial strategy, digitization, and field experiments, with particular interest in how innovation affects communities and labor markets. He examines topics including racial dynamics in gentrifying neighborhoods, the impact of school ratings on housing markets, and how startups use experimentation to improve performance. His work often combines computational methods with field experiments to understand organizational phenomena.
Hasan's publications appear in leading journals including Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, American Sociological Review, Organization Science, and Administrative Science Quarterly. His recent work shows how digital tools have transformed labor market search, how school ratings exacerbate educational inequality, and how 911 call patterns reveal racial distrust in gentrifying neighborhoods.

Hasan serves as Deputy Editor for Organization Science and previously as Associate Editor for Management Science. He's on editorial boards for Strategic Management Journal and Journal of Management. He co-founded the Conference on Field Experiments in Strategy and serves as Board Member and Co-Scientific Director of the Innovation Growth Lab. At Duke, he teaches Strategy Implementation and has taught core Strategy across multiple MBA programs, receiving teaching honors in 2018.
He maintains an active research blog at superadditive.co and co-created Scientifiq.AI, a tool for identifying commercializable research. His work bridges academic rigor with practical implications for entrepreneurs, policymakers, and organizations seeking to understand innovation's societal impacts.
