Sharice Clough, PhD, CCC-SLP, is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Iowa and a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on multimodal communication in adults with neurogenic disorders such as traumatic brain injury, dementia, and aphasia, emphasizing ecological validity in assessment and treatment. She investigates how individuals process and integrate social cues (e.g., speech, gesture, eye gaze) and adapt communication across modalities.
