Dr. Sharday C. Mosurinjohn is an Assistant Professor at the School of Religion, Faculty of Arts and Science, Queen's University at Kingston. She holds a PhD (2015) and MA (2011) in Cultural Studies from Queen's University, and a BA (2009) in Anthropology and Museology from the University of Western Ontario.
- Current research explores spirituality in digital contexts, nonreligion, and the "psychedelic turn."
- Key affiliations: Nonreligion and Secularity Research Network, Human Augmentation Research Network, American Academy of Religion.
- Supervises Religious Studies (RELS) MA and Cultural Studies PhD students in related areas.
Her work bridges religious studies, cultural theory, and media/technology studies, with a focus on late modern temporality and affect. Recent publications analyze digital religious movements, AI's spiritual implications, and material religion in contemporary art. She is author of The Spiritual Significance of Overload Boredom (2022) and co-author of research on "new secular spiritual movements" like Free the Children/ME to WE.
