Dr. Lois Lee is Senior Lecturer and Senior Research Fellow in Religious Studies at the University of Kent, where she leads the £2.3m Understanding Unbelief programme. With advanced degrees from Cambridge and Leeds, she researches non-religious cultures and secular existential experiences.
Research examines atheism, agnosticism, and religious indifference through empirical studies of non-theist populations worldwide. Her theoretical work develops frameworks for understanding existential culture in modernity.
Founder of the Nonreligion and Secularity Research Network and editor of Secularism and Nonreligion journal, she bridges academic and public understanding through community engagement.
