Shaokang Luan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalborg University's Department of Energy Technology within the Faculty of Engineering and Science, specializing in power electronics packaging and materials. His work focuses on high-power density systems for emerging applications including electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
His research interests span Power Electronics, Parasitic Capacitance mitigation in high-voltage systems, Medium-Frequency Transformers, and Ceramic Materials for Magnetic Components. Key projects include the development of planar transformers for medium-frequency applications and ultra-high-efficiency EV chargers with grid support functionality.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals strong emphasis on SiC MOSFET characterization, magnetic crosstalk mitigation, and advanced packaging techniques. His work consistently addresses parasitic capacitance challenges in high-voltage systems while exploring ceramic-based solutions for thermal management in power electronics.
Current research funding includes the HEART project (Super High Efficiency Fast EV charger with energy storage) funded by the Innovation Fund Denmark, and the Modeling and Design of High-Power Medium-Frequency Planar Transformers project.
His laboratory work involves power electronics packaging, materials characterization for high-frequency magnetics, and embedded sensor development for current monitoring in power conversion systems.
