Shannon Sevier serves as Assistant Dean for Graduate Law Programs at St. Mary’s University School of Law and adjunct professor, teaching Fundamentals of American Legal System. She oversees graduate law admissions, advising, and enrollment processes. Previously, she held roles as Associate Registrar at College of Charleston and Assistant Registrar at Trinity University. Her administrative experience includes program management and accreditation leadership, notably achieving NAEYC accreditation for an Army child development center in Germany.
Education: M.P.A. (St. Mary’s, 2021), J.D. (St. Mary’s, 2007), M.A.T. (College of Charleston, 2001), B.A. (Washington State University, 1997), B.A. (University of Puget Sound, 1994).
Her professional focus spans legal education, education policy, and administrative compliance. As European PTA President and National Board member, she advocated for federal education funding, student data privacy, and juvenile justice reform through congressional testimony and rulemaking.
Key achievements include the 2012 Volunteer of the Year Award for navigating non-profits through international regulations. She also led counselor training programs supporting over 1,500 soldiers in transition networks across Germany.
