Shannon Jeffries is an Adjunct Professor at ArtCenter College of Design, specializing in Entertainment Design. With over 25 years of experience in the animated feature film industry, she works as a film Production Designer, Art Director, and Painter. Her creative focus intertwines narrative storytelling with natural inspiration, extending to mediums like narrative jewelry crafted from metals and fire. Jeffries previously worked as a freelance editorial illustrator in New York City and has explored immersive VR storytelling.

Her research interests center on story-based creative practices, infusing narrative into diverse artistic endeavors such as book illustration and experimental jewelry design. She emphasizes the omnipresence of story and inspiration in everyday life and creative processes.
