Shannon Dobson Fopeano

Shannon Dobson Fopeano is a Los Angeles-based film professor and television writer holding an M.F.A. from Stephens College and a B.S. from Northwestern University. As a Writers Guild of America (WGA) member and Disney/ABC Writing Program graduate, she has served on writing staffs for Disney and Freeform, with credits including the Hallmark film ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE and the short film I LIVE ON YOUR VISITS.

Her academic and creative work centers on inclusive media representation, particularly neurodivergent children and family dynamics, drawing from her reality TV production background and parenting experiences. She actively explores themes of social authenticity, true love, and crisis resolution through narrative storytelling in contemporary screen media.
