Shannon Bichard serves as Professor and Chairperson of Advertising & Brand Strategy within Texas Tech University's College of Media & Communication. A dedicated faculty member since 2001, she actively contributes to teaching, research, and student mentorship while maintaining strong institutional commitment to Texas Tech.
Her educational foundation includes:
- Ph.D. in Communication from University of Florida (2001)
- M.A. in Communication from University of Central Florida (1997)
Dr. Bichard's research investigates social media impacts on society with special focus on underrepresented groups including children and older adults. Her methodological approach combines content analysis, survey research, and qualitative interviews to examine media framing, persuasion techniques, and user motivations.
