Shane Nanayakkara

Shane Nanayakkara serves as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow affiliated with Monash University's School of Medicine and the Alfred Hospital. He holds dual professional appointments as a Cardiologist at the Alfred Hospital since June 2016 and as a Research Fellow at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute since March 2016. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.

Dr. Nanayakkara's research focuses on cardiovascular medicine with particular emphasis on heart failure, transcatheter aortic valve implantation, acute coronary syndrome, and the application of artificial intelligence in cardiac diagnostics.
