Shane Graham is a Professor of English at Utah State University, serving as Chair of the Literature Emphasis. His office is located in Logan (RWST 420B).
- Education: PhD (2001) and MA (1997) from Indiana University; BA (1994) from Northwestern University
Dr. Graham specializes in postcolonial world literatures from Africa, the Caribbean, and regions including South Asia, Polynesia, and South America. His research explores transnational literary connections, particularly between Black American and African writers, alongside themes of trauma, memory, and cultural memorialization following collective atrocities like apartheid and genocide.
He supervises Honors capstone projects and Master's theses on topics spanning 18th-century literature to contemporary works, focusing on diaspora studies, race, transnationalism, and cultural geographies.
