Dr. Shana Cooperstein is an Assistant Professor of Art History at IE University, Spain, specializing in 19th-century art with a focus on material practices, representational theory, and scientific imaging. She holds a Ph.D. in Art History from McGill University (2019), alongside degrees from Temple University (M.A., 2013) and the University of Pittsburgh (B.A., 2011). Her interdisciplinary research bridges art, science, and history, supported by fellowships from institutions like the Osler Library and the Institut Français d’Amérique.
Her academic journey includes roles at institutions such as the University of Chicago and Villanova University.
