Shan Jiang is a Researcher affiliated with Macquarie University, holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the Macquarie Business School. He is associated with the School of Communication, Society and Culture, and contributes to the Centre for the Health Economy and Data Horizons Research Centre. His research focuses on economic and behavioral evidence of precision medicine, gene-based precision public health in Australia, and methodologies for healthcare technology evaluation.
His work emphasizes cost-effectiveness analysis, distributional cost-effectiveness tools, and stated preference methods. Notable contributions include studies on lung cancer treatment cost-effectiveness, genomic secondary findings in healthcare, and BRCA1/2 variant carrier strategies. He has authored over 49 publications and leads the MUAPS Top-Up Scholarship project (2023–2026), investigating health economic evaluation methodologies.
