Shameka Powell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at Tufts University, affiliated with the School of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on educational equity, race, class, and gender dynamics in schools, employing frameworks like Critical Race Theory and Queer of Color Theories. She holds a PhD from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and has taught courses such as Critical Race Theory and Critical Education Policy Studies.
