Dr. Shaili Gupta is an Associate Professor of Medicine (General Medicine) and Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Yale School of Medicine. She holds a clinical appointment as an academic hospitalist at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Connecticut Healthcare System. Her expertise spans clinical virology, medical education, and professionalism development.
Education: MBBS from Sawai Man Singh Medical College (1998), residency at University of Maryland, Baltimore (2006), and infectious diseases fellowship at Yale (2008). Board-certified in Internal Medicine (2006, recertified 2016) and Infectious Diseases (2008, recertified 2018).
Research focuses on viral variants (e.g., HIV, SARS-CoV-2), vaccine immunogenicity, and medical education innovations. She leads a VA clinical-virolgic repository analyzing SARS-CoV-2 variants and vaccine responses in veterans.
