Dr. Shahid Ghauri is a Lecturer in the School of Management and Marketing at Curtin University, part of the Faculty of Business and Law. He holds a prominent role in teaching and coordinating units across multiple campuses including Bentley, Dubai, Miri, and Mauritius. His academic responsibilities include lecturing in MBA capstone projects, global business sustainability, project management, and international human resource management, while tutoring in entrepreneurship, strategic career design, and sustainable workforce development.
With over 25 years of global commercial experience spanning financial services, agribusiness, renewable energy, and education sectors, Dr. Ghauri has operated across 12 countries in Asia Pacific, Latin America, East Africa, and the Sub-Continent. His research focuses on SMEs, cooperative organizations, natural capital management, and achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals through agricultural cooperatives. Notable contributions include exploring SME membership dynamics in cooperatives and frameworks linking cooperatives to environmental sustainability targets.
His creative works include the book *Sustainable Destinations - Where are you going & how will you get there?* (2013) and articles on topics like agricultural chemical use and financial planning. Dr. Ghauri actively consults for startups and SMEs while maintaining his own small businesses.
