Professor Shahar Hameiri is a political economist at the School of Political Science and International Studies, University of Queensland, focusing on Asia-Pacific statehood, governance, and political agency. His work examines rising powers (especially China), global health politics, security governance, and Australian foreign policy, with a current ARC Future Fellowship (2021-26) on development financing competition.
