Seán Kenny is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economic History at Lund University. His research focuses on macroeconomic history, specializing in banking crises, sovereign debt analysis, political economy, and industrial productivity trends in Northern Europe.
Current research projects include:
- Resilience to Economic Shrinking: The Role of Autonomous Financial Systems (2022-2026)
- Resilience to economic shrinking: A social capability approach to development processes
- Banking on the local level: Growth, income and market integration (2017-2023)
His work contributes to understanding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through historical economic analysis, particularly in areas related to economic stability and development.
