Sevin Yeltekin

Sevin Yeltekin is the Dean and Professor of Business Administration at the Simon Business School, University of Rochester. She oversees academic and administrative functions, shaping the school's strategic direction. Previously, she held roles at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business (2005–2020) and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Her expertise lies in macroeconomics, focusing on fiscal policy design, social insurance, computational economics, and asset pricing implications of macro policy.

Yeltekin earned her bachelor’s in economics and mathematics from Wellesley College, and her master’s and PhD in economics from Stanford University. Her research explores fiscal policy dynamics, computational models in economics, and the interplay between monetary policy and bond markets. She has contributed to journals like Quantitative Economics and Journal of Monetary Economics, and serves on the advisory board for the Carnegie Rochester NYU Public Policy Series.

Her awards include the Rohet Tolani Distinguished Professorship. She actively engages in public discourse on macroeconomic trends through platforms like Bloomberg Markets Radio. Her work bridges academic research with policy implications, emphasizing credible fiscal and monetary frameworks.
