Sevinç Asilhan

Professor Sevinç Asilhan is affiliated with Istanbul Technical University in the Department of Meteorological Engineering. Her research focuses on meteorology, climatology, drought analysis, wind speed forecasting, and climate change modeling, with particular emphasis on the Euro-Mediterranean and Marmara regions.

Her publications highlight expertise in tornado prediction, cyclone impacts, greenhouse gas effects, and machine learning applications for weather forecasting. Recent work includes developing early indicators for tornadic storms (2024) and analyzing drought-solar irradiation relationships.
