Seval UYANIK is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering at Adıyaman University, Faculty of Engineering, where she has been working since January 2020. Prior to this position, she served as an Associate Professor at Gaziantep University's Technical Sciences Vocational School from 2019-2020 and as a Lecturer at Gaziantep University for two decades, starting in 1999. She also holds significant administrative roles including Director of Research and Application Center (2020-2023) and Department Head (2020-2023) at Adıyaman University.

She has made significant contributions to towel technology, carpet manufacturing, and specialized textile applications including baby diapers and backsheets. Her research integrates traditional textile engineering with modern sustainability principles, particularly in waste reduction and resource efficiency within the textile industry.
Her extensive publication record demonstrates a consistent focus on improving textile manufacturing processes and product performance. Recent work shows increasing emphasis on sustainable materials and recycling technologies, particularly in developing closed-loop systems for textile waste. Her research bridges fundamental textile science with practical industrial applications, maintaining strong connections with the textile industry throughout her career.

She has served as project coordinator, researcher, and executive on multiple initiatives focused on textile technology advancement and workforce development. Her administrative experience includes significant leadership roles in academic departments and research centers.
Through her professional activities, Dr. UYANIK maintains strong connections with the textile industry, serving as Chairman of the Board for the Southern Regional Branch of the Chamber of Textile Engineers (2020-2024) and as a founding partner of SMTEKS Engineering Consulting Textile Industry and Trade Limited Company. These roles demonstrate her commitment to bridging academic research with industry applications.
