Seungsu Lee is a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, mentored by Prof. Karen Smith. His research focuses on algebraic geometry and commutative algebra, particularly the singularities of algebraic varieties across arbitrary characteristics. He investigates F-regularity, F-purity in positive characteristic, and '+'-singularities in mixed characteristic. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Utah (2023) under Prof. Karl Schwede, where his thesis addressed F-signature functions and singularities of divisors along finite covers. He holds a B.S. from Yonsei University (2016).
