Dr. Seung Hee Kim is an Associate Professor and Research Faculty at Chapman University's Schmid College of Science and Technology, affiliated with the Center of Excellence in Earth Systems Modeling and Observations. He holds a Ph.D. from UCLA and specializes in computational and data-driven approaches to environmental and atmospheric science. His research focuses on wildfire dynamics, climate change impacts, remote sensing applications, and environmental monitoring. Notable projects include analyzing fire weather under global warming thresholds, radar-based rainfall prediction, and aerosol optical depth estimation using satellite data.
